Jesse Aho Wins at Eagle River Speedway; Truscott Gains 12 Positions in MN Modified Nationals at Ogilvie
Jesse got back behind the wheel this past weekend with a pair of events. Friday night, he competed at the Eagle River Speedway in Eagle River, WI and picked up a clean sweep on the night. Jesse started outside the front row in both the heat and the feature and dominated both events for the sweep. Saturday night, he ventured to the ABC Raceway in Ashland, WI and picked up another top 10 finish. After racing from 8th to 4th in the heat race, Jesse started 16th in the main event and charged up to finish 6th at the checkered.
Michael, meanwhile, entered the 12th annual Minnesota Modified Nationals at the Ogilvie Raceway in Ogilvie, MN over the weekend and had a great weekend as well. In the Midwest Modified division, Michael won his heat race on Saturday night from the pole and then charged his way to a second place finish in the main event, while on Sunday night, he ran 6th in his heat race and then came forward from 14th to 6th in the main event. Michael also debuted a Modified for the first time and after heat race action on Saturday night set the stage for action on Sunday, Michael ran 7th in the b-main before finishing 2nd in the last chance race and locking himself into the $12,500 to win main event. During the 50 lapper, Michael charged forward from his 26th starting spot to come home in 14th, a great run forward for his first weekend in the car.
